Prowler Ballistic Missile Submarine

The Prowler is my take on the Russian Oscar-class 2 submarine. Its hull is bigger, but proportionally the same size as the existing real-life variants. In addition to all the usual refinements, it has additional periscopes and optronics masts. It also fires the newer non-nuclear ballistic missiles at ships and land targets. Torpedoes fired include: rocket, supercavitating and special self guided types for naval warfare.

The larger hull accommodates swing-open floodable hatches behind the sail or fin. These floodable hatches are for micro subs and underwater drones for recon and attack operations. The bulge atop the sail is the escape pod which can house most, if not all of the crew.

Doing this semi-study led me on a rabbit hole. I ended up learning more about torpedoes, ballistic missiles and submarines in general. While my research was not exhaustive I do feel more knowledgeable about these topics now!
